Ieder maakt in zijn of haar leven dingen mee die er behoorlijk inhakken. De een veel meer dan de ander en soms grenst het aan het ongelofelijke wat iemand in een leven meemaakt. Als de aard en opvoeding er dan ook een is van opoffering voor de ander en niets terug te durven of te mogen vragen, dan is de emotionele portemonnee snel leeg. Alsmaar geven zonder terug te krijgen dat houdt niemand vol. Eigenlijk is dan de onuitgesproken boodschap aan jezelf en anderen: “ik ben niets waard”. Onbedoeld en onbewust worden zo ook jouw unieke talenten en kwaliteiten ondergewaardeerd, niet in de laatste plaats door jezelf. Onverklaarbare depressieve gedachten of angsten kunnen het gevolg zijn van een lege emotionele portemonnee.
